Meet Dr. Kaitlyn Tom
Dr. Kaitlyn Tom is a board-certified orthodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, born and raised in Honolulu and proud to care for the community she calls home. A graduate of ʻIolani School, she treats children, teens, and adults at Dung Orthodontics’ Honolulu and ʻAiea offices with braces, Invisalign®, and early treatment.
Patients and parents value Dr. Tom’s warm, patient chairside manner and her gift for making every visit feel easy. As the current President of the Hawaii Society of Orthodontists, she also helps shape the standard of orthodontic care across the islands.
Coming Home to Honolulu
Dr. Tom’s roots run deep in Honolulu. After graduating from ʻIolani School, she left for the mainland to train at some of the country’s respected programs, then returned home to Hawaiʻi to practice, exactly where she always hoped to be. That homegrown perspective shapes how she connects with local families: she understands the community her patients live in because she grew up in it.
Outside the office, Dr. Tom enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with family and friends across Oʻahu.
Board-Certified Orthodontist (ABO Diplomate)
Dr. Tom is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), the voluntary credential held by only about one in three practicing orthodontists. Board certification means proving advanced knowledge, judgment, and clinical results to a panel of expert peers, and maintaining that standard over time. Learn what board certification means.
