Your First Visit to Dung Orthodontics

Your first visit is a complimentary, no-obligation exam that usually takes 30 to 60 minutes. You do not need a referral. You will meet your board-certified orthodontist, get a clear picture of your options, and leave with a personalized plan and an honest quote, often in that same visit. It is the easy, pressure-free first step toward a healthier smile.

We know a first orthodontic visit can feel like a big unknown, especially for parents and kids. Our goal is simple: to make you feel welcome, answer every question, and send you home knowing exactly where things stand, with no surprises and no obligation.

Your Complimentary Exam

There is never a charge for your first exam, and you do not need a referral from your dentist to see us. Just call and book. Whether you are exploring braces for your child, Invisalign® for yourself, or simply want a professional opinion, the visit is free and the decision is always yours.

What to Expect During Your Visit

Here is how a typical first visit goes:

• A warm welcome. We will get to know you, review your dental history, and talk about what brought you in.
• A thorough exam. Your orthodontist examines your teeth, bite, and jaw, and takes any images needed to understand your case.
• A comfortable digital scan. We use the iTero® digital scanner instead of goopy impressions, so there is no putty and no gagging, just a quick, comfortable scan.
• Your options, explained. We walk you through what we see, the treatment choices that fit, and roughly how long each would take.
• A clear plan and quote. Before you leave, you will know your recommended treatment, the cost, and your payment and insurance options.

The whole visit usually takes 30 to 60 minutes.

What to Bring

To make the most of your visit, please bring:

• Your insurance card, if you have orthodontic or dental coverage (we file all plans for you).
• A list of any medications you or your child take.
• Any dental records or x-rays from a recent dentist visit, if you have them handy.
• Your questions. No question is too small.

After Your First Visit

If you are ready to move forward, many patients can begin treatment soon after, and in some cases the same day. We will verify your insurance benefits, review our in-house, no-interest payment plans (from $200 a month), and build a schedule that works for your family. If now is not the right time, that is perfectly fine too. There is never any pressure.
